We had spent a few months doing some VW camper research, both online and around our local area of Southampton, there are quite a few outlets in our area so you can get a good comparison of what is available.
As with everyone else, we wanted top spec for our money, we were constantly drawn back to Needingworth Campers, We went to the Motorhome show in Birmingham and still couldn't see anything that seemed to match what Needingworth could offer us, a quick phone call and we arranged a viewing the next morning.
Steve and Mark do not sell you your new VW camper, the vans sell themselves, but they were able to answer every single question they were asked, they have an absolute and intimate knowledge of their vehicles.
Mark did our Handover for us, again he was not in a hurry, and said it would take as long as we wanted it to.
We have had the Van for a month now, she is stunning, build finish is 100% - couldn't be happier

Great specification VW T6.1 campervans . Brilliant non pushy sales service every thing was quick and efficient very helpful team . We wanted a pull out awning fitting and different alloys changing on the same day so we could drive our new campervan home the same day. Not a problem everything done by 4pm !! And washed . Can't say how pleased we are with our purchase definitely top speck conversion if you are looking for a campervan don't go anywhere else.

Amazing place, old skool garage

Just checking in 2 years later to report my VW camper bought from Steve in 2022 is still going strong and we've had no problems with it! Very high quality conversion as everything is still looking as great as the day we bought it.

We bought our very first campervan from Needingworth Campers last Saturday and dealt with Steve for the sale. We were worried about travelling for a van 4 hours away and handing over such a large amount of money. Steve from the outset was very confident in his product and reassured us every step of the way. He was super quick at answering our million and one questions on email (and very patient too lol with our daft questions).
When we arrived, our beautiful camper was everything he said it would be and more. The camper has been converted to perfection inside. You can actually see the care that has been taken. (Unlike some Campervan we went to see). Steve not only showed us how everything worked, he let us record him going through everything too so we would not forget. He was lovely and helpful from the outset.
Unfortunately, when we were home, we noticed there was a leak from near the sink. Panic set in as I thought, 'we've handed the money over, so it's our problem now'. How wrong was I! We sent Steve an email and attached a video of the leak and he contacted us straight away. He could not apologise enough and booked us straight in for a repair. It was one of those things where there was a tiny airline fracture in the water pump. You would never notice as it was so tiny! The lads at the garage sorted without any stress and were lovely.
For me, this after care means a hell of a lot more than the sale part. It's the after care that shows who and what the garage is about. This garage cares and wants to do right by their customers. Not just take the money and run.
Would I recommend...absolutely!

After spending most of the last year researching and visiting Campervan garages, we stumbled across Needingworth Campers via Autotrader. Not exactly in our catchment as we live in Cumbria. However, our experience has been much different and hugely positive to the point where we ordered our Campervan on our first visit. Mark supported us and was able to identify the options and preferences around the different styles, specs and equipment. Whilst I thought I had done all the research I learned so much more from Mark. The great thing about the Needingworth Campervans is it includes a full spec with very few optional things such as awnings and bike racks to add. The Campervans have the diesel heater, microwave, solar panel etc as standard. During our handover last week, time was taken to demonstrate how to use the equipment and what to look out for and prevent damage to your new Campervan. A great experience and thankyou very much.

After a long year searching for the right van at the right price, I decided to go with Needingworth Campers. I had previously visited the site and had a great chat with Andy. Four months later after more searching I ended up back there.
Dealing with Mark never pushy and never appeared to be tired of my many questions I finally placed the order, as the van was still in its panel state we were able to choose various colour options. The whole process was very easy. I think you would struggle to find better. Mark picked us up from the station and completed a fantastic handover. I wish I had not spent so long looking elsewhere. Stephen has a wonderful business here, concentrating on providing fantastic units and wasting nothing on fancy showrooms.

If you are looking for a campervan look no further than Needingworth Campers. We have had a motorhome for twenty years and having visited the East of England show thought we new what we wanted. At Needingworth Mark was fantastic we sat in the back of a van already converted to the specification we thought was right for us. About an hour later having viewed and discussed the pros and cons of each layout and how we would potentially use the vehicle; both as a camper van and day to day vehicle we ended up with something completely different. There was no hard sell from Mark to get rid of existing stock just a desire to ensure that we ended up with a new conversion to exactly what we wanted; including vehicle colour. The other key factor was the value for money; given the base vehicle converted for us and the quality of the finish Needingwoth I would have no hesitation in recommending them and if we ever need a replacement would not even look elsewhere.

Delighted with our new camper van from Steve. No high pressure sales - the van speaks for itself! We were fortunate just the spec we wanted was on the forecourt so picked it up within a week. Such a stylish and comprehensive conversion. I had a look at other converters but Needingworth has the edge on style and design. Apart from the ease of pulling out the R&R bed and lifting and lowering the roof, the little touches like the pull out extra surface, the under counter lights and the bespoke chopping board speak volumes for the care and attention that has gone in to this conversion. The finish throughout is superb. The team are so helpful, and hand-over was very thorough. It is a month after I collected and I am so pleased with the performance of the vehicle and the comfort of camping; it has everything I need. I cannot recommend Needingworth highly enough (and have already).

It was the obvious choice to go back to Needingworth and a decision that was not difficult to make.

We recently purchased our van from Needingham after being impressed by the build quality, great thought to practicalities and overall value for money compared to other converters.

I purchased a brand new VW Transporter campervan from a different company back in May and after 6 weeks I had to return.
I found Needingworth Campers online and after a few conversations the following week I went up to see their campers, the following Thursday I collected and I could not be happier.
Stephen and the team are not you typical sales guys, really laid back with no pressure on you to buy, the product sells it's self, the campers build quality is fantastic.

I live in the Highlands of Scotland and took a trip down to Needingworth on my own this week after speaking to the owner Steve a few times on the phone. He knows all there is to know about Transporter conversions and conveys that knowledge in a manner that is not pushy or salesman like - he doesn't need to go for the hard sell anyway as his vans will sell themselves. The camper vans are very competitively priced and you get a lot of van for your money in comparison to other sellers. The conversions are of a very high standard and there are lots of available add-ons or upgrades on offer as well. Steve sorted local pickups and drop offs for me and even found me somewhere to stay for the night as I couldn't quite decide on which van I liked most, as he always has a number of campers on sale at any one time. Test drives, payment and all paperwork the next day was very relaxed and straight forward. Seat upgrades, wheel changes, bike racks etc were all turned round very efficiently and nothing was any trouble at all. All in all an extremely satisfying experience and I am now back up in Scotland showing off my dream camper van. I'm sure I was probably your perfect customer :-) but thank you Steve, Justin and Andy for making my first ever camper van purchase a really great one! After a lot of searching for the right VW camper, decided on this superb conversion from Needingworth Campers. From looking at others on sale as a comparison, this was a lot of van for the money. Have to also add that Steve's after sales service was brilliant too. Good company to do business with.

Having decided I wanted a VW Transporter for my camper van solution I researched a lot of dealers online. Living in the Portsmouth area I couldn’t find anything to suit locally so I decided to visit Needingworth Campers as they seemed to have a good selection of low mileage nearly new vans. On arrival I wasn’t disappointed, the variety of vans were stunning. I was initially greeted by Andy who talked me through all the aspects of several vehicles. Apart from being a nice guy he had great knowledge and is obviously passionate about his work. I was then introduced to Steve, the owner of the company, basically a down to earth guy that knows the market and is pricing high end, high spec vans to sell. I didn’t need much convincing everything about the company, the people and the product seemed good. I put a deposit down on 68 plate VW highline with 300 miles on the clock.

Having opted for a couple of mods, solar panel, awning rail and a change of alloys to my choice, I arranged to pick my van 3 days later. Another nice touch was that I was picked up at Huntingdon station by one of Steve’s team. The handover was a pleasure Andy explained all the operating instructions and I had a bit of banter with Steve.

Needless to say I was delighted with the purchase and the whole process. A great team. We bought our campervan from Steve at Needingworth 2 years ago and have been really pleased with it. We took it back last year to have a solar panel and leisure battery fitted and are very happy with the work. Earlier this year we had a small issue, I spoke to Steve and he said to take it back to him. Steve sorted the issue with no fuss. I can not recommend Needingworth campers enough for the quality of their product to their after sales service.

We had the pleasure of using this Campervan for a week and I've got to say the design, build quality and usability of the van was incredible. However all of these positive were completely overshadowed by the sheer amount of smiles and memories we made. In our modern 'fast' lives there was something refreshing about taking a simple step back and just enjoying the British countryside (and food) with my lovely wife!
